Video Editors

Most people usually just want to edit their videos (from phones, IP cameras, sports cameras such as GoPro) quickly for posting, so complex professional software is not the right type of video editors for them.

The discontinued Movie Maker of Windows is a fantastic beloved tool, but it does not support 4K video.  Its successor - Widnows Photos' Video Editor - is an excellent tool with a modern UI, but it does not support 4K either. 

AVS Video Editor is buggy and has poor performance.

Animotica is a fantastic tool - intuitive, easy to use, high performance, plenty of basic functions, supporting 4K.  Its Pro version ($16) is well worth the money.
