AGPtek TP714AQ Android tablet 

Reliable, reasonably thin and light.  Fast whening running an application, but slow when switching between apps.  

It is a fine device for occasional use such as testing apps, using just one or two apps (e.g. browsing Google+ or Facebook), but not good as the primary tablet for frequent uses.

The battery life is on the low side (3-4 hours work time).  It normally requires its charger to charge the battery.  Charging the battery with a USB cable connected to a computer's USB port is not sufficient to supply the power to run an app (in other words, the battery will continue to be drained).

One needs to fix "The Third Party INF (Driver) Does Not Contain Digital Signature Information" problem on Windows 8 before installing its USB driver and make it available as a debugging device for Android app development.

Touch screen becomes effectively unusable for entering text when the device is being charged.

Use the the firmware update from AGPTek's support site to update the firmware for Android 4.2.2.  One generally should stay away from any other firmware update because they may have some hidden sutff and be very detrimental to the performance and privacy.
