Does Aptera have a technology issue or an integrity issue?

I was so excited by the 330 MPG car claimed by Aptera back in 2008 that I started to spread the word about it.  I remember I showed a video at the end of an R&D staff meeting with a bunch of PhD's and an MD, and surely raised the interest among all the attendees.

Later, I found the so-called 330 MPG was a bit deceiving because it includes the distance powered by charged batteries.  They reduced the number to 200MPG, but the real number is about 130 MPG purely on gasoline. Then, came one delay after another.  Now, even its website has only a front page.  What bothers me most is the lack of explanation.  I cannot help doubting everything the firm has claimed.  One thing the firm excels at is marketing.
