End of Aptera

It is sad that Aptera shut down on 2011-12-02, less than a month after my previous post on Aptera.

The company stated the close of business was due to lack of funding.  The company certainly excelled at marketing.  Over 5000 people in California sent Aptera refundable deposits for preorder.  I have never heard good explanations for the delays after delays.  Probably I will never know unless some Aptera insiders decide to disclose the inner process. Unless I hear good explanations, I maintain my doubt on its technology as claimed by Aptera with all the exciting data.
