Migrating eMail

Migrating eMail from one computer to another computer is extremely easy for Thunderbird, but much more involving for Outlook.

For Thunderbird, one only needs to modify parameter Path in profiles.ini under folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird to point to the profile file copied from the old PC.

Transfer Outlook involves the following:

After running Outlook, close it and copy Outlook.pst from the old PC to its location on the new PC. E:\Users\UserName\Documents\Outlook Files\Outlook.pst

Then, each email account needs to be set up individually.  When setting up POP account, set the data file to Outlook.pst instead of creating a new one.
