US$2.74 trillion robbed and stolen from Chinese people
The Task Force on Financial Integrity and Economic Development estimates conservatively that US$2.74 trillion flowed out of China illicitly from 2000 to 2009. Some people believe this number is too conservative, and believe the actual number may be an order of magnitude higher. A very high nubmer is possible because many embezzled assets are not counted in GDP calculation.
During that period, the average GDP per capita of China is no more than $4,000. US$2.74 trillion is equivalent to what the entire population of China produces in half a year. The Chinese regime has undoubtedly earned the first place of corruption in human history.
